Charlas con los Compadres is an in-person event hosted by United by Culture Media ("UBCM"), a nonprofit organization located at 14301 FNB Parkway, Ste. 100, Omaha, NE 68154, and co-presented with Estevez Archie Therapy. The event takes place Saturday, October 17, 2026, in Lincoln, Nebraska, beginning at The Nook and continuing at Sun Valley Bowling Alley. Conversations are facilitated by Miguel Estevez Jr., LIMHP, LPC, NCC, and Josh Arias.
Participants must be adults 18 years of age or older.
Charlas con los Compadres es un evento presencial organizado por United by Culture Media ("UBCM"), una organización sin fines de lucro ubicada en 14301 FNB Parkway, Ste. 100, Omaha, NE 68154, y copresentado con Estevez Archie Therapy. Consent to Participate / Consentimiento para participar
I voluntarily choose to participate in Charlas con los Compadres, hosted by UBCM and co-presented with Estevez Archie Therapy. I understand that the event format, schedule, and facilitators may change at UBCM's discretion based on participant needs or other circumstances.
I understand that Charlas con los Compadres is a peer support space and is not a substitute for individual therapy, medical treatment, or crisis intervention. I understand that my participation does not establish an individual therapist-client relationship with Miguel Estevez Jr. or any facilitator.
I understand that my participation is entirely voluntary. I may step away or leave the event at any time, for any reason, without penalty or obligation to explain my decision.
Elijo participar voluntariamente en Charlas con los Compadres, organizado por UBCM y copresentado con Estevez Archie Therapy. Entiendo que el formato, el horario y los facilitadores del evento pueden cambiar a discreción de UBCM según las necesidades de los participantes u otras circunstancias.

Facilitator Disclosure / Divulgación sobre los facilitadores
Miguel Estevez Jr. is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) in Nebraska, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado, and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). He facilitates Charlas con los Compadres in a group support capacity, not as a treating clinician. Josh Arias co-facilitates in a peer support capacity.

Participant Expectations & Code of Conduct / Expectativas y código de conducta
All participants agree to:
Treat others with respect and contribute to a safe, inclusive environment.
Maintain the confidentiality of anything shared by other participants.
Refrain from recording or photographing the conversations without the explicit consent of the group.
Follow instructions provided by UBCM and the facilitators.
Respect the venues, their staff, and other guests.
Refrain from disruptive or inappropriate behavior.
UBCM reserves the right to ask any participant to leave the event for behavior that violates these expectations or poses a risk to others.
UBCM will not record the conversation portions of the event. Any photos, video, or audio taken by UBCM will follow each participant's media consent selection on this form.
Todos los participantes se comprometen a:

Public Venue & Privacy Acknowledgment / Reconocimiento sobre lugares públicos y privacidad
I understand that Charlas con los Compadres begins at The Nook, a private space, and continues at Sun Valley Bowling Alley, a public business where staff and other guests may be present. While UBCM and the facilitators will make reasonable efforts to support privacy throughout the event, I understand that conversations at Sun Valley Bowling Alley may be overheard by others.
I am responsible for choosing what I share with that in mind, to protect my own confidentiality and that of other participants.

Mental Health Authorization / Autorización de salud mental
I authorize UBCM to contact my designated emergency contact if a facilitator has a good-faith concern for my immediate safety or well-being during or following the event.
I understand that UBCM and its facilitators are not a substitute for emergency services. In a life-threatening emergency, I will contact 911 directly. If I am experiencing a mental health crisis, I understand facilitators may share crisis resources with me, such as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, and, if appropriate, contact my emergency contact.
Autorizo a UBCM a comunicarse con mi contacto de emergencia designado si un facilitador tiene una preocupación de buena fe por mi seguridad o bienestar inmediato durante o después del evento.

Confidentiality / Confidencialidad
UBCM and the facilitators agree to keep what is shared in conversations during the event confidential, except where disclosure is required by law. This includes mandatory reporting obligations for suspected abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult, and situations involving imminent risk of harm to self or others.
I agree to keep confidential anything shared by other participants, and not to disclose other participants' identities, stories, or shared information outside the event without their explicit consent.
I understand that while all participants agree to this confidentiality expectation, UBCM cannot guarantee that other participants will maintain it. Complete confidentiality cannot be guaranteed in any group setting, and I agree to do my part to protect it.
UBCM y los facilitadores se comprometen a mantener la confidencialidad de lo que se comparta en las conversaciones durante el evento, excepto cuando la ley exija su divulgación. Esto incluye la obligación de reportar sospechas de abuso o negligencia hacia un niño o un adulto vulnerable, y situaciones que impliquen un riesgo inminente de daño a uno mismo o a otras personas.

Part Two: Waiver & Release of Liability / Parte dos: Exención y liberación de responsabilidad
Acknowledgment of Risk & Waiver of Liability / Reconocimiento de riesgos y exención de responsabilidad
I understand that participation in Charlas con los Compadres may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to: emotional or psychological discomfort arising from discussion of personal or sensitive topics; physical activity, including bowling; travel between The Nook and Sun Valley Bowling Alley; conditions of the venues; and interactions with other participants.
UBCM does not arrange or provide transportation between The Nook and Sun Valley Bowling Alley. Participants are responsible for their own transportation. Any ride shared between individuals, including volunteers, facilitators, or other participants, is a private arrangement between those individuals. UBCM does not own, operate, or insure any vehicle used and does not provide coverage for any injury, loss, or damage related to transportation. This release includes claims against UBCM and Estevez Archie Therapy arising from any such transportation, to the extent permitted by law.
I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I agree to release, waive, and hold harmless UBCM and Estevez Archie Therapy, and their directors, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors, agents, and representatives (including facilitators), from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or causes of action arising out of or related to my participation in Charlas con los Compadres, except to the extent caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
I understand this waiver is intended to be as broad as permitted by applicable law and does not waive rights that cannot legally be waived.
Entiendo que participar en Charlas con los Compadres puede implicar riesgos inherentes, incluyendo, entre otros: incomodidad emocional o psicológica derivada de conversaciones sobre temas personales o sensibles; actividad física, incluyendo jugar boliche; el traslado entre The Nook y Sun Valley Bowling Alley; las condiciones de los lugares del evento; y las interacciones con otros participantes.
UBCM no organiza ni proporciona transporte entre The Nook y Sun Valley Bowling Alley. Cada participante es responsable de su propio transporte. Cualquier traslado compartido entre personas, incluyendo voluntarios, facilitadores u otros participantes, es un acuerdo privado entre esas personas. Governing Law & Severability / Ley aplicable y divisibilidad
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska.
If any provision of this waiver is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
This agreement is provided in English and Spanish. Both versions are intended to have the same meaning.

Si alguna disposición de esta exención se considera inaplicable o inválida, dicha disposición se limitará o eliminará en la medida mínima necesaria, y las demás disposiciones permanecerán en pleno vigor y efecto.
